Directions:

From the North:
From the Seattle area, take Interstate 5 south to the Kent DesMoines exit (also known as state route # 516 ).  Drive east on this road, drive under Highway 167, then turn left (north) on 4th Ave, just a couple of blocks and you are there.  See parking below.

From the Eastside, take Interstate 405 south to Highway 167, take Exit 2 (you will see Kent, Auburn signs).  Drive south on 167, exit at the Willis Street / DesMonies exit (also know as state route # 516).  Turn left (east) on this road, drive under Highway 167, then turn left (north) on 4th Ave, just a couple of blocks and you are there.  See parking below.

From the South:
From the Tacoma area, take Interstate 5 north to the Kent DesMoines exit (also known as state route # 516).  Drive east on this road, drive under Highway 167, then turn left (north) on 4th Ave, just a couple of blocks and you are there.  Or take Interstate 5 north to the Highway 18 exit, go east on 18, turn north on Highway 167 (Kent, Renton exit), drive north on 167, exit at the Willis Street / Des Moines exit (also know as state route # 516).  Turn right (east) on this road, drive under Highway 167, then turn left (north) on 4th Ave, just a couple of blocks and you are there.  See parking below.

Parade participant directions:
Follow the directions above, make sure you exit at the Willis Street / Des Moines (also know as state route # 516).  Go east Willis until 4th Avenue, turn left (north) on 4th.  Follow Police and SEAFAIR directions.

2006 PARKING & BUS INFORMATION

 

Parking:

The Kent Cornucopia Days has the following parking areas for its use in Downtown Kent.

1.       Kent Transit Center (Metro) & Sounder Parking Lot & Garage – West Smith St & Railroad Ave.

  • A short one block walk to Kent Cornucopia Days – just across Smith St.
  • Take any bus route that will take you to the Kent Transit Center.
  • The following routes take you to the Transit Center:  150, 154, 158, 159, 162, 166, 167, 183, 564, 565, 914, 916, & 918.

2.       Centennial Garage (City of Kent) - Titus & 2nd.

  • Right next to Kent Cornucopia Days, sanctioned fund-raiser for PICC.

3.       Municipal (City of Kent) - Titus & 1st.

  • Right next to Kent Cornucopia Days.

4.       Kent Meridian High School (Kent Schools) - Canyon Rd & 101 Ave SE.

  • Take the Metro or Kent “Shuttle” bus from this point to event,  park in school parking lot and walk just outside of school fence for pick-up at Metro sign.
  • The following will take you to & from Kent Meridian High School to Kent Cornucopia Days:  159, 169, 914 & 916.

5.       The old Kent Park & Ride (Metro) - James & Lincoln & Smith St.

  • A short walk two blocks to Kent Cornucopia Days east on Smith St. after you arrive via bus.
  • The following will take you to & from the Park & Ride to Kent Cornucopia Days:  150, 154, 158, 159, 162, 166, 183, 914 & 916.

6.       Any legal Public side street.

Park in any open public side street parking spot, please observe all signs and street barricades.  Please observe private property no parking rights, you will be towed.  Kent Cornucopia sanctions no private parking sales.

 

Handicapped parking:

There is handicapped parking only (valid state tag must be displayed) at three locations.

1.        On 2nd Ave between Gowe and Titus Streets.

2.        On Harrison St. between 2nd Ave and old JC Penny parking lot driveway (for Kent Library access also).

3.        On Railroad Ave. between Gowe and Titus Streets.

 

Buses generally run every 15 minutes on Friday and 30 minutes on Saturday & Sunday.

City of Kent’s “Shuttle”:  Routes 914, 916 & 918

SSpecial Kent Cornucopia Bus – Saturday only

SHop onboard our “Cornucopia Bus” starting at the carnival on the corner of Lincoln and Smith and ending at Lake Meridian with drop offs at 10am until 9pm.  Stops at the main Festival, Kent Senior Center, Kent-Meridian HS.

 

Special Dragon Boat Shuttle – Saturday only

Our special “Dragon Boat Races Bus” with stops at Horizon Elementary, Kent Fire Station #75, Lake Meridian Metro P&R, Kentwood HS.  You can also take route 158, 159, & 168 from the Metro P&R to the lake.  6 am until 6 pm.
