Directions: From the Eastside, take Interstate 405 south to Highway 167, take Exit 2 (you will see Kent, Auburn signs). Drive south on 167, exit at the Willis Street / DesMonies exit (also know as state route # 516). Turn left (east) on this road, drive under Highway 167, then turn left (north) on 4th Ave, just a couple of blocks and you are there. See parking below. 2006 PARKING & BUS INFORMATION
Parking: The Kent Cornucopia Days has the following parking areas for its use in Downtown Kent. 1. Kent Transit Center (Metro) & Sounder Parking Lot & Garage – West Smith St & Railroad Ave.
2. Centennial Garage (City of Kent) - Titus & 2nd.
3. Municipal (City of Kent) - Titus & 1st.
4. Kent Meridian High School (Kent Schools) - Canyon Rd & 101 Ave SE.
5. The old Kent Park & Ride (Metro) - James & Lincoln & Smith St.
6. Any legal Public side street. Park in any open public side street parking spot, please observe all signs and street barricades. Please observe private property no parking rights, you will be towed. Kent Cornucopia sanctions no private parking sales. Handicapped parking: There is handicapped parking only (valid state tag must be displayed) at three locations. 1. On 2nd Ave between Gowe and Titus Streets. 2. On Harrison St. between 2nd Ave and old JC Penny parking lot driveway (for Kent Library access also). 3. On Railroad Ave. between Gowe and Titus Streets.
Buses generally run every 15 minutes on Friday and 30 minutes on Saturday & Sunday. Call Metro at 206-553-3000 for updated information, assistance, times, and fares.
City of Kent’s “Shuttle”: Routes 914, 916 & 918 Call 253-838-2333 for more information, fares are free.
SSpecial Kent Cornucopia Bus – Saturday only SHop onboard our “Cornucopia Bus” starting at the carnival on the corner of Lincoln and Smith and ending at Lake Meridian with drop offs at 10am until 9pm. Stops at the main Festival, Kent Senior Center, Kent-Meridian HS.
Special Dragon Boat Shuttle – Saturday only Our special “Dragon Boat Races Bus” with stops at Horizon Elementary, Kent Fire Station #75, Lake Meridian Metro P&R, Kentwood HS. You can also take route 158, 159, & 168 from the Metro P&R to the lake. 6 am until 6 pm. |
