Auburn Memorial Stadium, 800 4th Street NE, Auburn 98002 – the 2006/2005 Northwest Football League Champion, King County Jaguars will host the West Sound Saints, Saturday July 14, 2007 at 7:00pm in a classic battle of Northwest Minor League Football powers.  For the second year the Jaguars are proud to partner with Kent's Cornucopia Days celebration, hosted by the Kent Lions Club.

Due to stadium and field renovations at Kent-Meridian High School’s French Field, the Jaguars will be playing their home games at Auburn Memorial Stadium for the 2007 season and will return to French Field for the 2008 season.

The King County Jaguars, became members of the Northwest Football League (NWFL) in the year 1999. In 2005 the Jaguars were ranked #1 in the Minor League Football News (MLFN) AAA Summer Western USA Region. The 2005 Jaguars finished their season 2nd in the Nation at (14-1).  In 2006 the King County Jaguars defended their NWFL title against the West Sound Saints and beat the Saints to win the NWFL Championship for the second time in two years. The Jaguars finished second in the MLFN AAA Summer Western USA Region with an overall record of (11-1).

The West Sound Saints of Silverdale, (formally the West Sound Orcas) became members of the NWFL in 2000 and were the NWFL runners up in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 the Saints became 2005 NAFL (2) National Champions with an overall record of 12-2.  In 2006 the Saints finished 2^nd in the NWFL with an overall record of (7-3). 

 

These two nationally ranked teams have a competitive history, having met eleven times in the past six years with the Jaguars leading in the ‘win’ column 8 games to 3. For more information on the Northwest Football League: http://nwfootball.net.    

 

The Festival and the Game promise to be exciting events.  We hope that you will come out and experience what the Kent Cornucopia Days has to offer AND come this year to Auburn Memorial Stadium on July 14^th at 7pm for some ‘Smash Mouth Football’!!
